GENERAL DESCRIPTION

SOCAY IS AN ADJUSTABLE MOTORIZED SUPPORT FOR TV CAMERAS AND THERMAL CHAMBERS. CONVENTIONAL MONITORING AND INSPECTION SYSTEMS WERE BASED ON A HIGH NUMBER OF VISION OR HEAT DETECTION SYSTEMS POSITIONED ALL ALONG THE ROUTE TO BE MONITORED.
MOREOVER OPERATORS WERE FORCED TO LENGTHY EXPOSURES WHEN PASSING THROUGH SOMETIMES HOSTILE ENVIRONMENTS, CARRYING HEAVY VISION INSTRUMENTS.
THEREFORE ALONGSIDE THE DEVELOPMENT OF REMOTE-CONTROLLED INSPECTION ROBOTS THERE AROSE THE NEED TO GIVE THEM "EYES".
SOCAY WITH ITS THREE LEVELS OF FREE INSPECTION MOVEMENT THROUGH 330° ALLOWS MONITORING THE INSPECTION POINTS DEFINED ALONG THE VARIOUS INSPECTION ROUTES.
SOCAY IS PROVIDED WITH AN ENCODER FOR EACH AXIS THUS ENABLING HIGH PRECISION ANGULAR POSITIONING. SOCAY IS OF LIGHT ALLOY CONSTRUCTION AND CAN WITHSTAND A LOAD OF UP TO 8 KG.
THANKS TO THE MECHANICAL INTERFACE, AN EXTENSIVE RANGE OF TV CAMERAS AND THERMAL CHAMBERS CAN BE APPLIED.
THE INSTRUMENT IS PROVIDED WITH AN INTERFACE CONNECTOR AND CAN DIALOG WITH THE MORE FREQUENTLY USED TRANSMISSION PROTOCOLS OR WITH SIMPLE POTENTIAL FREE CONTACTS.
THANKS TO THE ADOPTION OF CORROSION RESISTING TREATMENTS AND COMPOSITE MATERIALS, THE INSTRUMENT CAN BE USED IN AGGRESSIVE ENVIRONMENTS.
BESIDES THE TYPICAL USES ON TROLLEYS AND TRACK-MOUNTED INSPECTION ROBOTS, SOCAY FINDS INTERESTING APPLICATION WHERE REQUIREMENTS DICTATE THE NEED TO LIMIT THE LOADS BUT AT THE SAME TIME TO SUPPORT HEAVY WEIGHTS.
