GENERAL DESCRIPTION

IT 'S A MACHINE DESIGNED AND BUILT ESPECIALLY FOR MANUFACTURING COILS OF HEAVY-DUTY ELECTRIC MOTORS.
CONVENTIONAL WINDING SYSTEMS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BASED ON SIMPLE LATHES ADAPTED FOR THE NEED, WHERE THE OPERATOR FED AND DISTRIBUTED THE FLAT WIRE MANUALLY SEEKING TO KEEP A MORE OR LESS CONSTANT PULL AND CORRECT OVERLAPPING.

MOREOVER, AFTER WINDING, THE OPERATOR HAD TO TAPE THE COIL BY HAND IN MORE OR LESS DEFINITE AREAS IN ORDER TO ALLOW ITS REMOVAL, NOT TO MENTION THE CUMBERSOME CUTTING OPERATION WITH HEAVY-DUTY CUTTERS.
EXAMPLES OF THIS TYPE ARE STILL TO BE FOUND IN VARIOUS FACTORIES BUT THEIR WORKING LIFE IS BECOMING SHORTER AND SHORTER AS THE MARKETS REQUIRE: INCREASINGLY SPEEDIER DELIVERIES AND SMALL LOTS OF HIGH QUALITY MOTORS DIFFERING FROM EACH OTHER..
HENCE A NEED HAS ARISEN FOR A HIGH SPEED, PRECISION, FLEXIBLE MACHINE WITH SHORTER SET-UP TIMES, IN ORDER TO CATER FOR THE VARIOUS PRODUCTION NEEDS BUT STILL RETAINING THE HIGH QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT.

STRONG POINTS OF THE MACHINE  ARE:

CONSTANT PULL ON THE FLAT WIRE
- AN OSCILLATING SYSTEM FOLLOWS THE DELIVERY SPEED OF THE FLAT WIRE IN ORDER TO HOLD THE PULL CONSTANT WITHOUT RANDOM STRESS ON THE CONDUCTOR.

WINDING SPEED - THANKS TO THE AUTOMATIC SUPPLY OF FLAT WIRE AT 15 M/MIN. FINISHED COILS ARE OBTAINED WITH TIMES SUBSTANTIALLY SHORTER COMPARED TO CONVENTIONAL WINDING SYSTEMS.

AUTOMATIC CUTTING AND TRIMMING - AN AUTOMATIC CUTTING SYSTEM ASSISTED BY A TAPING AND SEALING OPERATION, ALLOWS TRIMMING THE INNER AND OUTER ENDS OF THE COIL TO THE REQUIRED SIZE WITHOUT TROUBLESOME PHENOMENA OF ACCIDENTAL UNWINDING OF THE INSULATOR.

TAPING AND SEALING
A TOTAL OF 8 AUTOMATIC TAPING HEADS ALLOW VERY RAPID TAPING AND SEALING
SO THAT THE COIL CAN BE REMOVED WITHOUT ALTERATION TO ITS SHAPE OR SIZE.
THE TAPING HEADS ARE VERY EASY TO POSITION IN ORDER TO CARRY OUT TAPING ON THE FINISHED COIL IN THE REQUIRED ZONES.

IMPROVED EYELET CHANGE
A QUICK EYELET ATTACHING SYSTEM, ALLOWS RAPID PASSING FROM ONE DIAMETER TO ANOTHER.

INSULATION STATION (OPTION)
AN OPTIONAL INSULATION STATION CAN BE MOUNTED ON MACHINE FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSULATING THE CONDUCTORS FROM THE FLAT WIRE HOLDER SPOOLS.

INSULATION REMOVAL STATION (OPTIONAL)
AN OPTIONAL INSULATION REMOVAL STATION CAN BE USED FOR OBTAINING THE OUTER AND INNER ENDS READY FOR WELDING.

ON THE BASIS OF THESE ADVANTAGES, THE ARRIVAL OF A MACHINE INSIDE A FACTORY MEANS THAT IT CAN TAKE OVER A LARGE PART OF THE PRODUCTION WHOSE REQUIREMENTS WERE FORMERLY MET BY VARIOUS CONVENTIONAL UNITS. HENCE THERE IS A DRASTIC REDUCTION IN PRODUCTION COSTS.
