WELDING MACHINE IS SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR THE REPAIR OF ION EXCHANGE FLUORINATED-POLYMERS
MEMBRANES.
DEFECTS TYPICALLY
PRESENTED BY THESE MEMBRANES ARE MICROPERFORATIONS OR TEARRING THE WORKING PROCESS
BECAUSE OF MICROMOVEMENTS PROVOKED BY VARIATIONS IN THE PRESSURE OF THE FLUIDS
UNDER TREATMENT.
THE SPECIAL
CONFIGURATION HELPS MAKING THE REPAIR SAFE AND SURE, ALSO CONSIDERING THAT MEMBRANES
OFTEN WRINKLE AFTER USE. A SPECIAL CARE WAS APPLIED IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A TRASPORTABLE
APPARATUS WITH REDUCED OVERALL DIMENSIONS.

REMINDS US OF A SEWING-MACHINE. A THERMOREGULATED HEATING PLATE, RUN VERTICALLY
BY A PNEUMATIC CYLINDER, IS UTILIZED FOR THE HOT-PRESSING OF THE REPAIR PATCH.
AFETER A PRESET HEATING TIME, THE CYLINDER RISES AND A COOLING PLATEN IS PLACED
UNDER THE HEATING PLATEN; THE WHOLE IS AGAIN FOR THECOOLING TIME.

TREATEMENT
BEFORE WELDING
OPERATE
ON THE ANODE SIDE.
DRY THE ZONE TO REPAIR BY PAPER TOWEL.
SPRINKLE WITH ETHYLIC ALCHOOL BY A BUNDLE OF PAPER TOWEL.
BLOW BY AIR GUN THE ZONE TO WELD TO DRY AND TO REMOVE THE DUST RELEASE
FROM THE MEMBRANE DURING THE DRY.
STEP-1:THE OPERATOR IDENTIFY AND MARKS THE AREA THAT TO BE REPAIR

STEP-2:THE MEMBRANE IS POSITIONED AND THE OPERATOR PUT INSIDE THE CENTERING PLATE THE WEPAC (OR TRADITIONAL PATCH)

STEP-3:THE OPERATOR PUSH THE TWO START PUSH RED BUTTON

STEP-4:THE WELDING CYCLE START
|
STEP-5:AT THE END OF WELDING CYCLE THE MACHINE GO IN AUTOMATIC IN THE COOLING CYCLE

STEP-6:AT THE END OF THE COOLING CYCLE THE CYLINDER RELEASE AND GO IN WAIT POSITION
|
STEP-7:THE OPERATOR PUT INSIDE THE CENTERING PLATE HOSMY INSTRUMENT TO CHECK IF THE REPAIR'S ZONA IS AT TIGHT (OR BY A TRADITIONAL SYSTEM)
|
STEP-8:IF THE CHECK IS OK THE OPERATOR REMOVE THE CENTERING PLATE TO REPAIR THE NEXT.
